Sugar Processing Chemicals

Sugar production in India, the world’s second largest producing nation after Brazil, is estimated to increase to 33.495 million tons in the 2022-23. The industry has the capability to export around 3500 MW of power to the national grid. Sugar industry has gradually transformed into sugar complexes by producing sugar, bioelectricity, bioethanol, bio manure, bio-CNG and chemicals.

With this scenario Sugar processing unit now has to run entire operation at optimum level and aided by use of latest chemicals/chemistry with answer to upgrade processes, keep water systems cleaner, upgrade product quality. The chemicals/chemistry recommended are as follows.

  • Mill sanitation biocides: such as Carbamate’s, Quat such as BKC, Isothiazolines etc.
  • Viscosity reducers such as High molecular cationic flocculant
  • Clarification Aids: high molecular weight cationic flocculant
  • Color Removal: Cationic Flocculant
  • Seed Slurry: Multi Effect Evaporator Scale Control through scientific blend of specific anionic polymers,
  • Defoamer: Glycol based
  • Boil out/Descalent: Alkaline /Acidic descalent inorganic as well organic acid with inhibitor
  • Water treatment chemicals: Reverse osmosis. Boiler, Cooling and Waste Water
